We were just able to get a few pieces in from Mission Workshop as they only produce these jackets in limited quantities, perfect for the rainy spring ahead and years of abuse from the elements.

We don’t want to brag, but our OG Script t-shirt became an instant classic when it dropped last year. Okay, so maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration–but it is one of our most popular items. For spring/summer 2012, we’re releasing it in two new colorways:
–navy and red on heather gray
–white and yellow on navy
Buy one (or both) today; believe it or not, spring is right around the corner!

Here at the shop we’ve always been fans of the TRP lever breaks. We just brought in two new sets of levers one in black and the other a retro version with gum hood and chrome drilled out lever. Both look sharp mounted on handlebars and are perfect for those single speed commuter bikes. You can pick up both in store or online here.

Okay, so it’s a beautiful day and you want to go on a leisurely bike ride. Don’t lug around more than you have to! Ditch that leather trifold and stow your essentials in the Chari & Co. NYC x Porter x Bjirushi Mini-Wallet. It’s small, but it’s perfect for carrying your keys, MetroCard, a little cash, and your ID. NYC x Porter x Bijirushi messenger bag, and it sold out extremely quickly. Don’t get caught flat-footed this time around.

Here in NYC, the winter has been ridiculously mild so far…but we’re still waiting for the other shoe to drop. We know that, soon enough, the streets are going to be filled with dirty slush. Luckily, we’ll be ready. The BMW Park bike will be our weapon of choice for fighting through the inevitable snowpocalypse. Pick one up today or risk being stuck riding the subway when it gets gross out. And, of course, these steel beasts are also awesome for shredding trails and hitting massive jumps…
Shoot us an e-mail ( contact@chariandconyc.com) for specs and other information.

Cinelli have also brought back three of their classic cockpit designs. First up is the aluminium Giro D’Italia ’64 bar, which is made from 6061 alloy to meet the latest EN standards but still shaped exactly like the original. With a 75mm reach and 140mm drop, it’s the ideal companion to a classic road bike.
The 1965 Criterium bar is also back, with its deeper drop (145mm) and further forward curve (82mm). In its day, this was the sprinter’s bar of choice. Cinelli have recreated the original ‘milky’ anodised finish of the originals too.
The classic 26mm diameter bars need a stem, so Cinelli have brought back the 1A. It’s now made from 6066 T6 alloy to meet EN standards but has the same simple, elegant design. It’s available with the same ‘Milky’ finish as the bars.
This was the ultimate aim of the Mash Cinelli Team, and to achieve it they used the most suitable technology: hydroforming. Rise, angle and length of the extensions, shaped underside for an ergonomic grip: we have reinvented a classic.
Even the rough, sandblasted surface improves grip.
