3.17 / Carl Rauschenbach for Chari & Co. Artist Series T-Shirts

For this artist series we worked with New York based artist Carl Rauschenbach.
We have worked on multiple projects with CR in the past including the design of
our racing jersey followed by an installation at the shop, the “Chari” logo and more
recently a colaboration project with Brooklyn Machine Works and Mountain Dew.
The series includes 3 styles, all in black and white available at United Arrows

The design idea was to use the simplest shape possible and let the colors do the talking. We began with a block shape and then added the few necessary functional elements; the curved underside, the oversized rubber button and the groove for attaching the elastic cord.

These are NJS approved top tube protectors for track bikes. Clear rubber, with a brass tubular clip inside. This is the most subtle, and neatest way to avoid denting your top tube, for times when your drop handle bars swing around and knock the frame. This is most likely to happen when you are carrying or walking your bike, not while riding. It can also happen in a crash. Many riser bars/straight bars, and bullhorns will also contact the top tube. Some people even put one on the down tube, right up near the head tube, for preventing the front brake from denting/chipping the paint of the down tube. I also find them very handy for leaning against poles, while parking my bike!
