While the rest of the world was making cycling clothing that resembled neon-colored garbage bags, the Outlier crew stepped up and changed the game. We knew from the moment we first touched a pair of OG pants that we wanted to work with the visionaries who cooked them up—and we’ve finally gotten the opportunity to do so. We’re proud to present the Chari & Outlier Chalk Stripe Overshirt.
When Tyler and Abe over at Outlier handed us a sample of the wool they wanted to use to make the shirt, it pretty much blew our minds. It was soft—shockingly soft—and we couldn’t help but wonder if we could buy sheets made out of the material. We’re willing to bet that you’re going to have similar thoughts when you first slip the finished product on.
The Chalk Stripe Overshirt is based on the design of Outlier’s revolutionary pivot sleeve shirt, so it won’t restrict your movement when you’re riding your bike or punching somebody in the face. It’s warm and comfortable and can be worn as a fall overshirt or a winter mid-layer. And, of course, like all of Outlier’s gear, it looks damn good. Very, very few of these shirts were made, so you better pick one up today!

There are some days you wish you had that extra layer when riding back home, the temperature dropping, you start to get that chill in your spine and you say to yourself, “Damn, I’m gonna catch a cold.” I throw on the Outlier Packable Heat jacket and the heat starts to build, you start to feel real good and next thing your know it, you’re home. It packs so small and light that you can carry it around in your bag or clip it to your belt loop, if you hate being cold, then pack some heat in your bag and you’ll be fine in a hurry.

I am not usually one to wear cycling caps but the cold weather requires a cap to keep the old brain warm. There aren’t much choices in cycling caps these days and a lot of them feel cheap, they are almost disposable to a certain point. If you guys are anything like me and sweat a lot, a wool cap is your way to go. Outlier uses fine suiting wool that helps regulate temperature and it fits comfortably under my helmet. My super 100s cap is definitely gonna last me for the rides to come.
You can purchase the caps online here.

Hoodies are an essential article of clothing for me when I ride, we all use hoodies for life on and off the bike. I’ve been wearing the Outlier merino hoodie for a few weeks now and it has become the only hoodie I can wear now. The grade of merino the Outlier guys chose feels great next to skin and because of the wool, this hoodie doesn’t retain odor after weeks of use. Merino is great where it keeps you warm and drier compared to your typical cotton hoodie which boils down to your back not being as sweaty and damp. The cut is refined for movement and comfort, I feel naked without it. Try it out, I promise you that you wont regret it.
